so hey. well today im going to tell my stories about bible camps i've had in my life. my dad was graduated from far eastern bible college. that church belongs to pandan bp church or jurong bp church. i cant really remember. that college is in singapore. i cant remember the place :p so he stayed in singapore for almost 7 years cause he took his masters too. he didnt get a PR though. but during those 7 years, he served this jurong church if i wasnt wrong and he became the member of that church. he joined camps and so on. so this church loves camps a lot. normally the camp lasts for around 5 days. so we'll go to malaysia or indonesia and we'll stay in a 4 or 5 star hotel for 5 days.so this is my first experience joining the bible camp. it was in mersing. i cant really remember when was that. all i know is that hotel is quite big. it's.... spooky. cause there were around 30 rooms and we nearly took half of it and the rest were empty. there's a playground but the whole thing is covered with rust. and there were 2 swimming pools but it's fool of muds and lotus leaves. it's as if that place have been abondened. but the hotel business is still going on. there's like 2 meeting hall. not too big. oh and anyway, it's not from jurong bp church. it was from a malaysia bp church. so there were only like 2 families and few peeps that are single. so i remember this activity where we must make something out of the macaroni. its not yet cooked. so they gave us papers, pencils, strings, erasers, colour pencils. so we made a necklace. hahaha. so i brought the macaroni back to my room and i boiled it :)))))) i didnt eat it though. i just feel like boiling it in a hot water. so silly of me. and in my mom's bible, there's a small magnifying glass i got from singapore science center back then. so i borrowed mom's magnifying glass and i start to look for ants. there was no dead ant so i killed on. i pressed the ant gently and suddenly, it stopped moving. so i start looking at the ant like how kids are suppose to look like when they're looking at an ant with their magnifying glass :D in the hotel, there were no foods. they only give us waters, instant drinks. so we have to buy our own food. normally, we'll go together and stop in a restaurant. so there is this place, the place is quite dark, the floor was covered with red carpet and there are some wall lamps. hahaa. xD i still remember it! yeahh.
so the second one was in a hotel in kuala lumpur. i dont remember a lot. all i know is that i bought one silicon ball that looked like an eye. and it was dinner time and i accidentally dropped the ball. so i was chasing the ball and it stopped under the chair of an uncle. he's still young, not yet an uncle. and he noticed that i was hoping he'll return my ball. so i looked at my dad. my dad smiled at the uncle. and the uncle took the ball under his chair and he was placing the ball on his eye and acting like as if the ball dropped out of his eye. as a kid, i laughed xD okay. that's all i remember.
the third one was in mariott hotel in kl too. as you know, it's a 5 star hotel :) hahhahaha. the size of a normal room is the same as the size of a deluxe room in a 3 star hotel. compare that!!! so the hall where we'll have our breakfast, dinner and lunch is near the lobby and my family always take the seat close to the lift and there's a shop near our table. they sell chocolates, magazines and some comics :) every lunch, i buy one comic. it's around 5 ringgit i guess. i dont really remember.
adults have their own service and we kids have our own and the teens have their own. i was only 7 or 8 back then so i was in the kids. i made friends there. like 2 or 3 people and aunty christina was in charge of the kids class. there's this kid which me and my friends hate. not hate as in hate, its just we dont like her cause she is always looking for attentions. you know what i mean. so there was this day, it was free time. after lunch, we have free time until dinner. so my family went out to the mall. me and my sister bought some famous amous to share with my friends. so we were eating by the swimming pool and that kid-which we hate- came and ask for one. when she went, we were all like talking "woah, she's so thick skinned" hahaha. so bad of us xD and there is this beautiful singer. she's a lady. she is pretty. so we were standing in the second floor looking down to the first floor and we saw that lady singing. so we were like saying "she's so pretty" "yayaya she have a beautiful voice too" hahaha and she waved at us. and we were like "wooooooaaaaaaaaaah" hahahahahahha. kids :)))) you know the feeling when u saw a beautiful lady and u want to be like her when you grow up and she actually smiled at you!! right?
so the last day came, and i was a kid. i remember my friends, but i didnt say goodbyes to them. hmm. :(
the forth!! this is the best one you knoww. hahaha. it was in arwana hotel near genting. genting was on top of the hill, we were at the bottom. the place is not as good as mariott hotel. and the food were blah!!! you wont eat it if you dont have too. so they gave us some jackets :D it's nice and warming. its a windbreaker. indonesians dont know what the eff that jacket is so the said it was jackets used for rainy days. (damn. i bought one jacket and it's damn expensive. so it was rainy and i brought it too school. my friends said "that's the jacket you wear when your on the street and it's raining right?" GDI!!!) so i met friends there too :D there were 3 and we are all girls :) i still remember joy, she loves elvis presley. everytime we talk about something, she'll start making some elvis' moves :)) and there are 2 others. i dont remember them. and there was this time where we want to go play in the playground and joy's brothers want to tag along but she dont want her brothers to do so. so joy's brother were chasing us and we have to run away from them. gosh. :))
and again, the last day came and i didnt said goodbye to them. ohmyyyyy. since then, i've never met them again.
the fifth, it was my last. it's a teen camp. the camp was held like 5 or 6 years ago. it's in pandan church. and i met eunice elson there. aww :D she didnt joined the camp though. so there is this guy. he's handsome. and til now, i still keep in touch with him. (y) hahahaha. the camp lasted for 5 days too. the schedule was really a fixed schedule. we must wake up early in the morning 5 am indonesia time and sleep 11 pm indonesia time. myyyyyyy. can you imagine that?! well, let's skip to the end. on the last day, that guy-the handsome guy which is my team captain-went back home cause he must enroll in his new school. you know. it feels.. hahhh. it's just, it's my last day there and he wasnt there. goshh. but yah. a few years after that he came to batam for a camp with his church and we met again :)
so this august, my church will be holding a camp somewhere near bintan :) it's going to last for 2 days and 1 night. :DDDDD i'll share more stories soon. kay byeee ;)
